Daiwa Saltist Conventional Star Drag Reels
New for 2018, the Saltist is now more ready than ever to do battle with sea-dwelling species. Constructed out of machined aluminum and anodized for maximum corrosion resistance, these reels are able to stand up to rigors of all day fishing on the ocean. The uninhibited free spool produces longer casts and is ideal for live bait scenarios. With 6 different sizes to choose from, there is an option for line classes from 12- to 50-pound test mono and for braid up to 100-pounds. The drag system can apply as much as 25-pounds of pressure to the spool. The 6.4 to 1 gear ratio is fast enough for jigging yet powerful enough to put big fish on the deck.
